It’s part of my job to ask questions and to research the market. I ’ll find out what matters to you – and what matters to your customers. I won’t start writing for your website until I ’ve got a thorough understanding of what you offer and what you do.

I’ll also research keywords and use them in my copywriting. Keyword-rich SEO website copy is an important element in getting a good place in the search engine listings.

Alternatively, I'll provide copy in Word for your approval, then liaise with your web developer to get the pages right. Whichever way, I'll make the process as painless as possible for you.

Which Comes First - the Content or the Design?

The most successful websites are those led by an understanding of their audience. They balance the needs of the reader with the aims of the organisation.

To do this, you have to consider content at a very early stage. When you know what you want to tell people, then you can design a website that does just that.

In an ideal world, the content writer and the designer liaise from the start. That way, you'll get design and wording that really works together to give you the results you hoped for.

In the real world, that doesn't always happen. If you've already had your design done, it's not a problem - I'll write to make best use of the space available.
